Who We Are

Not a charity.
A structured force
for Zambia's children.

MIZU is a non-charitable organization accountable, structured, and built to last. We do not only depend on goodwill. We build frameworks, forge partnerships, and create measurable impact at the grassroots level.

Rooted in Zambian values and led by Zambians, MIZU is meant to work with government ministries, corporate partners, international agencies, and faith communities β€” aligning collective capacity behind the nation's most vulnerable children.

What We Do

Three pillars.
One mission.

01πŸ“šEducational Access & Support
+

Education is the single most powerful lever for generational change. MIZU ensures no child is excluded from learning because of poverty, location, or orphan status β€” school outreach, Summer Programs, reading clubs, and exam preparation support across Zambia.

02πŸ›‘οΈChild Protection & Psychosocial Wellbeing
+

A child who is not safe cannot learn. A child who has not been heard cannot grow. MIZU integrates protection and mental wellness into every programme β€” OVC case management, psychosocial support groups, safe spaces

03🌟Youth Pathways & Economic Inclusion
+

For adolescents aging out of childhood support systems, MIZU creates structured transition programming β€” TEVETA-accredited vocational training linkages, youth business incubation, and a national mentorship programme connecting young Zambians with professionals.

Any Child Seeking Help

We do not define a child by what they lack. Anyone reaching for a better future β€” we meet them where they are, no conditions.

How We Survive & Grow

Built on
strategic
partnerships.

MIZU is a convener, a connector, and a catalyst β€” aligning actors and driving coordinated action for children, without duplicating Zambia's existing support ecosystem.

Why urgency matters

Nearly half of Zambia's population is under 15 β€” the demographic window is open right now.

Post-COVID child poverty deepened, learning gaps widened, caregiver systems stretched thin.

Without intervention poverty perpetuates itself intergenerationally. The time to act is today.
