A non-charitable organization dedicated to uplifting underprivileged children across Zambia through education, protection, and real pathways to a dignified future.
"Every child deserves to be grounded in identity, in community, and in opportunity. That is what roots give you."
MIZU is a non-charitable organization accountable, structured, and built to last. We do not only depend on goodwill. We build frameworks, forge partnerships, and create measurable impact at the grassroots level.
Rooted in Zambian values and led by Zambians, MIZU is meant to work with government ministries, corporate partners, international agencies, and faith communities β aligning collective capacity behind the nation's most vulnerable children.
Education is the single most powerful lever for generational change. MIZU ensures no child is excluded from learning because of poverty, location, or orphan status β school outreach, Summer Programs, reading clubs, and exam preparation support across Zambia.
A child who is not safe cannot learn. A child who has not been heard cannot grow. MIZU integrates protection and mental wellness into every programme β OVC case management, psychosocial support groups, safe spaces
For adolescents aging out of childhood support systems, MIZU creates structured transition programming β TEVETA-accredited vocational training linkages, youth business incubation, and a national mentorship programme connecting young Zambians with professionals.
OVCs in urban and peri-urban Zambia without consistent access to family support, education, nutrition, or psychosocial care.
Children in under-resourced rural schools β where trained teachers, learning materials, and infrastructure are scarce.
We do not define a child by what they lack. Anyone reaching for a better future β we meet them where they are, no conditions.
MIZU is a convener, a connector, and a catalyst β aligning actors and driving coordinated action for children, without duplicating Zambia's existing support ecosystem.
